Grease Monkey

I had a child ask for a mechanic cake. Simply because their daddy is a mechanic and their daddy is their hero.
So we made a topsy Turvey cake with some washed lego wheels and screw drivers with grease dripping down the cake (chocolate ganache).

Donuts donuts donuts

I love baked donuts. They are perfect for a little treat and these flavors are perfect for the fall.

Maple Donut with Maple glaze and toasted walnuts

Carrot Cake Donuts with Cream cheese frosting and toasted pecans

Pumpkin Donuts dipped in melted butter and cinnamon sugar.

Grandmas Peach Cobbler

This recipe belongs to my sweet Grandma. This recipe is my favorite of hers. When I was 8 years old and got Baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, this was the dessert I wanted after my baptism. She was happy to make it.
Just a couple weeks ago my grandma returned to our Father in Heaven. This recipe will be one I cherish forever and share with everyone.

Coconut Cream

Experimenting with dairy free options. It was a little sweet for my taste, and needs some perfecting, but I am excited to serve those in our community that are intolerant to dairy products.
Look how pretty it was!

Waffles will always be a staple in my house and now at the cafe. We will have seasonal waffles, like these delicious red velvet waffles. I haven't been one to jump on the red velvet wagon... but as a waffle OMG amazing!

Biscotti

Biscotti is a shortbread made from almond flour and cooked twice to make it extra firm. It is usually served with tea or coffee and you dip the cookie in the hot drink. I love just eating it by itself when it is freshly baked sometimes.

Ginger Snaps

I am not a fan of crunchy hard cookies. These ginger snaps are more of just a ginger cookie because they are so soft, moist and chewy. Just looking at them makes my mouth water.

Quinceanera

This is the biggest cake I have made in a long time. It was so stressful, and it didn't help that someone broke the power lines down the road with a tree. I was without power for four hours and every minutes counted on this cake. The bottom tier is vanilla with strawberry filling. It has fiver layers of cake. The middle tier was red velvet and had six layers of cake. The top tier was marble with chocolate mousse. It was a fun cake to make but so stressful.

Biscuits and Gravy

You can honestly get biscuits and gravy anywhere. But how many places can you get them made fresh, from scratch daily. Along with the gravy? We make everything from scratch at the cafe. No preservatives, no chemicals with only fresh ingredients daily.

Strawberries, Strawberries, Strawberries

This has been one of the most popular cakes I have ever made. It stands over 6 inches tall, has three layers of vanilla bean cake with strawberry mousse filling and whipped vanilla bean buttercream. Fresh strawberries are added for that extra sweetness and beauty.

As long as strawberries are available this will be the daily cake that you can order by the slice at the cafe.

Starry Starry Night

This cake was so much fun to make. I am far from being a master like Van Gogh, but it was fun to recreate one of my favorite paintings on a cake.
The cake itself is vanilla bean cake with strawberry mousse filling and vanilla bean buttercream.
The technique used was small strokes with paint palette knives.
