Wedding Cake

I would love to make this wedding cake. It was one of my students and it was so elegant and simple. I don't know why it turned sideways and it wont let me fix it.

Missionary Birthday

Ambers birthday was on halloween and I really wanted to send her a cake so I did. I don't know if it will make it safely but we are going to try for the fun of it. If it doesn't make it, it will stll taste good and we got pictures just in case. I made a dark chocolate cake turtle cake with peanut butter frosting and chocolate fudge frosting. Add some caramel, pecans and dark chocolate cake and it's absolutely divine. Happy Very Late Birthday Amber.

Challah Bread

My friend Amy makes such a prettier bread. But, I experimented for her because she wanted to add more sugar to hers. So I tried doing it. It was good bread. Challah bread is pretty sweet though. I don't know if I love sweet bread. But it's good.

Construction Birthday Cake

So this cake didn't turn out the way that I wanted it to. I made a dark chocolate cake which was amazing in taste. The bottom layer turned out perfect very moist but nice and firm and dense. Almost like a pound cake. Then the next to layers literaly fell apart in my hands. I wasn't happy. Then to top it off I made a chocolate buttercream frosting and it didn't have enough of a chocolate flavor and wouldn't stick to the cake. It just took the cake with it. I don't know why though because the frosting was very soft. It must have been the cake. I then covered it in chocolate cookie crumbs to make the whole cake look like dirt. It was only supposed to go on the top but to cover up the bad frosting I covered the whole cake in it. It worked though, all the little bou cared about was the toys on top.

Apple Dumplings

I made these for my family and everyone loved them. They have half an apple in the middle with butter and brown sugar in them. Amazing, and I don't like apples all that much. Add some vanilla ice cream on the side and you've got an elegant dish for dessert.

Halloween Cake

I was asked to donate a cake fore a Carnival in Shelley Idaho for their cake walk. This cake was to be the grand prize. The week that it was to be picked up was super busy and I didn't want to make it to early because I like my cakes to be fresh. So the night before at 10 PM (the only chance in the week to make it) I started my cake. I finished it by four in the morning and it was picked up at 10:30 in the morning.
The whole cake is edible except for the pipe cleaners that I used for legs. The cake was a white almond cake with chocolate mousse and raspberries for filling. The outside frosting was french vanilla buttercream. I decided to not put fondant on it for cost reasons and time but I was acutally happy I didn't because the cake looked better without it personally. The spider was rice krispie treat covered in fondant and the orange border was fondant with some shine put on it to make it pop even more. I was way excited and the winner was the person who picked it up.

Cake Bites

I was inspired by my mom. She talked about this bakery and the cake bits that my aunt brought back from there. So I looked at how they were made and made up some of my own. I used the rest of my eggnogg cake and frosting coated with white chocolate. I gave most of them away and everyone loved them. I have to say they were pretty amazing. Next ones I will try will be dark chocolate with maybe some raspberry in them. (My favorite)

Eggnog Cake

I am going to be doing a class and demonstration on cake decorating around Christmas time and so I have been expermimenting with differant holiday flavored cakes to make it even more fun. I made this amazing light and moist eggnog cake and topped it off with a french vanilla cream cheese frosting. So yummy.

Lots to stay posted on

I have some posts to put up but let me just say the reason I haven't posted or done much baking is because it's been a crazy month. But in the next three weeks expect alot. I will be doing my sons halloween party at school, a specialty cake for the Shelley High School Halloween Carnival, and my friends sons constructioned themed birthday party. So stay posted because there's going to be lots to look at soon.

Sugar Cookies

These delicious sugar cookies look elegant and are good for any occasion. The colored sugar on the top adds to the taste and looks of this cookie

Chocolate Cup

I made a new creation called a chocolate cup. It is a chocolate shell with a chocolate cream cheese cake placed in that's topped with chocolate ganache. Add a couple of raspberries and  chocolate heart an it's complete. It's amazingly rich an divine. Any chocolate lover would be in heaven. I am rather proud of this creation and how well it turned out.

Pumpkin Bread

I made a new pumpkin bread. I had a recipe but it needed to be tweaked so I did some things differant an this is what I came up with. It is the same moistness as great harvest but 10 times better flavor. This plate was gone in two days because Jaden and Tyson loved it so much.
